To date industries have thought of the invasion of zebra mussels as impossible to eliminate or control. Currently, industries are treating the zebra mussel infestation with chlorine presenting toxic risks to the environment and it is NOT effective. Zebra Mussels feed off the bacteria in the water. Ozone kills waterborne bacteria from which the Zebra Mussels feed. Killing the food source with (O₁), kills the muscles. The ozone produced by the SoZone™ Water Purification system kills the larvae that become mussels as well-therefore eliminating the problem.
